Cushmic Sounds is pleased to offer this very cool Vintage 1982 Fender Collector's Series Jazz Bass, released as a "Limited" series from 1981-'83.
 
Serial #CB12416
 
Weighing in at 4.9kg (10.8lbs) with a beautiful solid 3-peice Ash body, slender profile bound Maple neck with black side-dots, fretless Maple fingerboard with black dot inlays and original 38mm nut.
 
Modifications:
 
• Prior to its current owner's purchase back in the mid-late 90s this lovely Jazz Bass had its original Gold finish professionally stripped then refinished in natural satin and converted to fretless.
 
NOTE: The original gold paint can be seen underneath the bridge, inside the control cavity, neck pocket and underneath the neck plate (See photos)
 
Modifications during current ownership:
 
• 9V pre-amp with split treble/bass tone control knob.
• Badass Bass II bridge
• Schaller adjustable lever D-Tuner on the low E string.
• 3-ply Tortoise shell pickguard and black pickup covers.
 
Comes with its original Fender tweed case with plush orange interior, original white 3-ply pickguard, pickup covers and control knobs and polish cloth.
 
NOTE: This original case is well travelled, central latch is in good working order, the 2 outer locks are very well worn, all rear hinges are in good working order, original handle is long gone.
 
I have also included the strings that were on the guitar prior to servicing as spares.
 
Serviced and setup here at Cushmic Sounds with D'Addario Half Round 50-105 strings in Standard tuning, fretboard cleaned, electronics tested and working perfectly, truss rod tested, adjusted and works as it should, intonation and action set, all hardware cleaned and secured.
 
Absolutely no fret wear because, well...it's fretless!
 
Overall condition is 7/10 with the usual wear and tear you would expect from a 40+ year old bass.
