For over two decades, I have been performing, touring, collecting guitars, amps and all things music related. I am a fulltime, working musician currently performing solo gigs all over Perth and also performing around Australia as Lead Guitarist for Perth's CCR Tribute Band Proud Mary
During this time, I spent a number of years working in music retail, serving the music community while increasing my 'guitar' knowledge, honing my Lutherie skills, establishing client relationships and making great friends along the way.
Collecting guitars and music gear is an addiction, ask any muso! I've just decided to turn mine into a business, so I'm always on the hunt for Vintage, Pre-Loved, High-end electric and acoustic Guitars, Vintage Amps, Pedals and Spare Parts.
Here at Cushmic Sounds, every item is meticulously checked over, serviced, set up and fully functional before being listed. I will not sell anything that I don't endorse. That's why I include plenty of detailed images and thorough descriptions and videos for every item.

The work bench
Here at Cushmic Sounds, every guitar goes through a thorough service before having photos taken and being listed for sale so when you recieve your dream guitar, there are no issues and no sneaky surprises that weren't mentioned in my listing.
Here's what is involved in my service.
(For Gibson electrics)
- Truss Rod test
- Fret clean & polish
- Fretboard clean & oil
- Hardware clean
- Securing of all Hardware
- Electronics clean & test
- Restring
- Set Tailpiece height for string guage
- Tune
- Set Bridge height for action
- Truss Rod adjustment
- Set intonation
- Final test for playability and to make sure everything is working as it should
- Final clean & polish
- Vacuum and clean guitar case
- Place in temperature controlled storage
All this work can take from 2 - 3 hours as I'm quite thorough.
Viewing
Looking to purchase your dream guitar from Cushmic Sounds but want to try before you buy?
Easy!
I utilise the convenience of Pen Cap Chew Studios Unit 7/2 Pritchard St, O'Connor. Here, you will be able to view and inspect your next purchase in a comfortable, air conditioned and soundproof room.
In this case, payment must be cash.
Genuine interest only.

Australia wide Guitar shipments: PACK & SEND Australia.

All shipments are fully insured with tracking provided. All items from Cushmic Sounds are packed carefully and securely. Please contact Cushmic Sounds for a shipping quote.
However, if you would like to organise your own shipping, I will provide the collection address once payment has cleared.
NOTE: I strongly recommend insurance and signature on delivery.

Consignment
For consignment percentages, please submit an enquiry via email or phone.
There is no minimum consignment listing price, but I am selective about what I advertise on my website.
An accurate valuation will need to be done in person to assess overall condition, playability and working order but before doing this, I will request photos of your instrument with any documentation inlcuding serial numbers and proof of purchase (if available).
Once I have viewed your photos, if I feel your instrument is worth listing, I will then research to confirm the year, make and model from the serial number, compare current online pricing and passed sales taking into account any shipping and/or import costs - This usually takes a couple of days.
I will then contact you with my valuation and offer for your consideration. If you're happy to proceed, we'll organise a meeting where a consignment agreement will be presented. I will also need a copy your Driver's license and contents isurance policy.
NOTE: If any repair work is required to make the instrument functional and/or playable this will need to be done before listing and will be charged upfront.
Repair work will be done by Mark Taylor at Rocket Music Co - Guitar & Stringed Instrument Repairs & Servicing.
All instruments will need to remain in my care for a minimum 60 days when consigned for the best possible chance of a successful sale.
However there is no hold period, this means (you) the consignor can collect your instrument at any arranged time.
Payments
Payments are to be made by direct deposit to Cushmic Sounds Commonwealth Bank Account, cash payment also accepted. Alernatively PayPal is an option but you will need to ad the 3.5% fee to the final price.
Returns
All instruments owned by Cushmic Sounds will have a 48 hour cooling off period/change of mind policy for returns, no questions asked. (Buyer pays return costs)
This cooling off period/change of mind policy does not apply to consigned instruments.
All guitars are sold in the exact condition as advertised.
No returns past the 48 hour cooling off period. This is exempt if the instrument is not as described/advertised.
Security & Insurance
While your instrument is on consignment here at Cushmic Sounds, I will take full responsibility while your instrument is in my care.
All instruments are kept at a afe and secure location monitored by an alarm system and multiple security cameras.
