Cushmic Sounds is pleased to offer on consignment this highly coveted, early 1982 Fender American Vintage (AVRI) 1957 Reissue Stratocaster in lovely 2-tone sunburst with Thin Nitro Lacquer finish.
 
Produced at Fender's original Fullerton, California plant between 1982 and 1984, these guitars were the first official reissues and are celebrated by collectors for their deep, vintage-accurate body contours and for being the instruments that "saved" Fender's reputation during the transition away from CBS ownership before Fender moved operations to Corona in 1985. These 1982 models are one of the most collectible of the modern Fenders.

Weighing in at 3.59kg (7.91lbs) with a 3-piece solid Alder body, 1-piece maple neck with an extremely Soft "V" shape profile, vintage-correct 7.25" fingerboard radius, 21 vintage-style replacement frets, and Bone nut.

Equipped with its original set of Black-bottom pickups designed by Dan Smith and John Page, these sensational sounding pickups feature Alnico 5 magnets and were designed to replicate the "bell-like" chime of original 1950s single-coils.
 
Also equiped with its original CTS pots, 3-way switch, Switchcraft output jack and cloth wiring with one replacement cap.

Serviced and setup here at Cushmic Sounds with D'Addario 10-46 strings, frets polished, fretboard cleaned, intonation, action set and bridge set, truss rod tested and works as it should, electronics cleaned, tested and working perfectly, all hardware cleaned and secured.
 
Frets are in very good condition with minimal wear, so playability is superb!
 
Overall condition is Very Good with extremely light play wear and lovely checking throughout the Thin Nitro Lacquer.
