Cushmic Sounds is pleased to offer this Glorious Vintage 1971 American Fender Jazz Bass in original Olympic White finish, owned and played by John Meyer.

Neck Heel reads: 7 APR 7_? (Unfortunately I can't quite make out the second digit and letter)
Weighing in at 4kg (8.9lbs) with an Alder body, Maple neck, Bound Brazillian Rosewood fretboard with 21 original frets, Mother-of-pearl block inlays and Bone nut.

Now if this baby could talk, I'm sure she'd have a few stories to tell because as you can see from my photos, she's been a workhorse - Original olympic white finish has faded to a glorious road worn blonde. There bumps, bruises, scratches, scrapes and some stunning finish checking throughout, but no cracks or breaks.
NOTE: John has modified this bass some years ago by routing a deeper neck pocket cavity in order to shorten the scale, in turn having to reposition the bridge. It looks like he'd had a couple of goes at it too, but the bass is now back in it's original form with the original tortoise shell pickguard covering the cavity (See Photos)
Comes with its original Hardshell Case, original Leather Strap and original Fender Polish Cloth.
Original Fender Case Logo is in the case pocket.
Serviced and setup here at Cushmic Sounds, strings are still in excellent condition and tuned to B standard as was the tuning John had been using. Frets cleaned and polished, fretboard cleaned and lightly oiled, intonation and action set, truss rod tested and works as it should, electronics cleaned, tested and working perfectly, all hardware cleaned and secured.

Frets are in great shape with minimal wear, but nothing that warrants a fret level any time soon so playability is superb for an old girl!
