Cushmic Sounds is pleased to offer on consignment this lovely vintage Gretsch Hollowbody 7660 Nashville Chet Atkins model in Cherry from 1975, made in the USA.
 
Serial #4-5180
 
Weighing in at 3.7kg (8.1lbs) with Maple top, back and sides, thin "C" shape Maple neck, Ebony fretboard, 22 original frets with zero fret, half-moon Pearl inlays, and original Bone nut.
 
Electronics feature its original set of great sounding "Blacktop" FilterTron humbuckers, original pots, caps, switches, and wiring.
 
Control layout;
The knob located at the lower cutaway is a master volume, while the other two knobs are volume controls for each pickup. The mini-toggle located near the Bigsby is a standby offering on/off/on, while the other two mini-toggles located at the upper cutaway offer three-way tone options engaging three different capacitors. Like most Gretsch hollowbodies, this has the internal “sound post” joining the top and back under the pickups to decrease feedback.
 
All original hardware with Bigsby B5 Tremolo, original bridge, original tuners, knobs, and switches, all of which are functioning perfectly.
 
Original pickguard that shows a signature underneath. Unfortunately the current owner does not know who's this is.
 
Comes with its original Gretsch Hardshell Case, all latches in good working order.
 
Original Gretsch leather strap included.
 
Serviced and setup here at Cushmic Sounds with D'Addario 10-46 strings, frets cleaned and polished, fretboard cleaned and lightly oiled, electronics working perfectly, truss rod adjusted and works as it should, all hardware cleaned and secured.
 
Original frets show signs of wear, but playability is still excellent.
 
Overall condition is Very Good, there are some minor scuffs throughout, the original cherry finish is still vibrant with only light checking on the reverse side of the headstock, and all binding is in great shape; For an almost 50 year old guitar, it's pretty clean!
 
No breaks, structural cracks or repairs.
