Cushmic Sounds is pleased to offer on consignment from the original owner, this rather awesome, and now considered "vintage" Ibanez 7 String Steve Vai Signature Universe, finished in Gloss Black, made at the legendary Fujigen gakki factory, Japan in 1999.

Weighing in at 3.92kg (8.64lbs) with a 3-peice Premium American Basswood body, 2-piece bolt-on Maple neck with Universe profile, bound high-grade, dark select Rosewood fingerboard with 16.9" radius, 24 Jumbo frets, and iconic "Disappearing Pyramid" inlays crafted from green Abalone and highly reflective Mother-of-pearl.

Equipped with American-made DiMarzio Blaze II passive pickups, specifically designed for Steve Vai's Universe 7-string series. Controls include 1 Master volume, 1 Master tone, original 500k pots, cap, wiring, and 5-way Blade switch.
 
Pickup switching features an "auto-split" wiring configuration, so when shifted into positions 2 or 4, the switch automatically divides the inner coils of the neck or bridge humbuckers and pairs them with the middle single-coil pickup.

All chrome hardware made by Gotoh, featuring the legendary Ibanez Lo-Pro Edge 7 double-locking tremolo and Gotoh SG381 die-cast tuners.
 
Serviced and setup here at Cushmic Sounds with Ernie Ball 2621 Regular Slinky 10-56 strings, frets polished, fretboard cleaned and lightly oiled, intonation and action set, truss rod tested and works as it should, electronics cleaned, tested and working perfectly, all hardware cleaned and secured.
 
Frets are in Excellent Condition, playability is superb.
 
Overall condition is Good with moderate play wear throughout.
